Here's a recap of important upcoming training information. Location for all these activities will be at Shepard Community Hall as per usual.

1. Monday, Nov 18 (Tonight)

  • In the interest of weather, Optional Training has been CANCELLED tonight.

2. Tuesday, Nov 19

  • Dress: FTUS

  • Period 1 & 2: Squadron Drill Practice

  • Period 3: Mess Dinner Etiquette and Traditions

3. Tuesday, Nov 26

  • Dress: Physical Training (PT) Gear, bring a water bottle

  • Cadet Fitness Assessment Let by F/Sgt Einarson

4. Tuesday, Dec 3

  • Dress: Festive Wear, Ugly Holiday Sweaters or Civilian Clothing

  • 83 Juno Beach Holiday Hoopla! Cadets will enjoy fun, festive activities with the whole squadron. There will be prizes for the best holiday 'fit.

5. Saturday, Dec 7

  • Sgts & Above Only: Seniors Team Building & Parade Sequence Practice

6. Tuesday, Dec 10

  • Christmas Mess Dinner

Following the mess dinner on Dec 10, there will be no training until the new year.

SIGN UP Fall Field Training Exercise - Open to Level 3 and up only

Cadets, it’s that exciting time of the year! We are going on an overnight FTX (Field Training Exercise)!

SIGN UP FORM AND IMPORTANT INFORMATION BELOW

What: Our annual Field Training Exercise (FTX) is a great opportunity for cadets to learn, practice, and build basic survival skills like fire building, shelters, and more! Meals, accommodations, and transportation from LHQ (Local Headquarters) are provided.

Who: The Fall FTX is available to Level 3-5 cadets who do not have a medical restriction that requires them to be within 30 minutes of a medical facility. Don’t worry! There will be another FTX in March 2025 to accommodate the Level 1 and 2 cadets, and all cadets that need to be within 30 minutes of a medical facility.

Date: 15 – 17 November. Timings to follow.

Where: Rocky Mountain Cadet Training Centre. The cadets will be bussed from and to LHQ (Shepard Community Hall).

The OPI (Office of Primary Interest) overseeing this activity is Captain Pritchard.
